Live MBTA information for everyday riders
MBTA Go — Official is a Maps & Navigation app from MBTA for people using the transit network in and around Boston. It provides current arrival estimates for buses and trains, helping riders check when a vehicle is expected at their stop before they leave or while they are waiting.
Track vehicles and check service changes
The app can show how many stops away a bus or train is and display live vehicle positions on a map. That gives riders more context than a scheduled departure time alone, especially when a vehicle is delayed or moving between stations and stops.
MBTA Go also provides information about route closures. Alerts and maps can help identify whether a closure affects a planned trip, so riders can review service conditions before committing to a route.
Accessibility, language support, and rider feedback
The app includes language translation support and works with Android accessibility tools. TalkBack is available for riders who are blind or have low vision, while Switch Access and Voice Access support riders with mobility impairments.
